WELCOME TO R&W METAL
We are industry leaders in designing and fabricating rack solutions for the glass and automotive industries. Our new 112,000 square foot facility in Paris, Ontario was designed to accommodate our customers’ projects from design to delivery with our advanced on-site capabilities.
For over 30 years we have partnered with leaders in many industries to develop a wide range of shipping and material handling racks. We are the go-to rack supplier for some of the strongest glass manufacturers across North America, several OEM’s and their Tier 1 suppliers. This diverse and continued experience is what allows us to call ourselves experts in the industry and why we are called on for advice when it comes to rack solutions.

OUR HISTORY
1986 | Started metal fabricating work in Burford, ON on the farm with only two people building paint racks, garbage bins, glass racks and other miscellaneous products |
1988 | R&W Metal Fabricating and Design Inc. was officially incorporated |
1989 | Received our first glass rack order direct from plant with 4-6 members on the team |
1992 | Moved to a 10,000 square foot facility in Harley, ON focusing only on fabricating glass racks, automotive racks and returnable packaging |
1994 | Moved to a 10,000 square foot facility in Waterford, ON with the team growing to 20 people |
1996 | Moved to a 16,000 square foot facility in Simcoe, ON |
1996 | Opened R&W Metal USA in DeWitt, IA (closed in 1998 – Temporary location) |
1997 | Opened R&W Metal USA in Rossford, OH (closed in 2000 – Temporary location) |
1999 | Moved to a 26,000 square foot facility Brantford, ON with 30 employees |
1999 | Expanded Brantford facility to 39,000 square feet |
2003 | Expanded Brantford facility to 54,000 square feet and grew to 80 team members |
2007 | Purchased first 2D laser with the second purchased in 2012 |
2014 | Purchased land in Paris, ON for new facility as we outgrew Brantford |
2015 | Started building the 75,000 square foot facility in Paris, ON |
2016 | Built addition to expand to 112,000 square feet |
2016 | Purchased first 3D (Tube) laser |
2016 | Purchased first robotic weld cell |
2017 | Fully relocated to Paris, ON facility |
2019 | Purchased second 3D (Tube) laser |
